I am whoever you say I am

Today I’m having Lyndal from Family of Killers drop in and guest post.
Delly and I have been friends outside the bloggy world for edging on 8 years,
we have always shared a love of music, travel and a love for all things happiness.
We may be in separate states but we always find a way to reach each other and stay connected.
Lyndal is who inspired me to blog and to share and connect within this crazy beautiful world!

Life gives us a lot of labels – wife, mother, daughter, friend, employee, financial planner, social organiser, domestic cleaner, human alarm clock, health and wellbeing coordinator… the list goes on. With each label comes added responsibility, things that we feel we should do, and things other people tell us we should be doing.
Some of this is okay, alot of this is just not.
We drown.

Dorothy - Beautiful post. We are only ever experts on one thing and that is ourselves. Listening to that is the hard part.

April 16, 2013 - 11:16 am

[email protected] - Lovely. We need to keep telling ourselves this, You Are Enough!

April 16, 2013 - 11:24 am

Jodi Gibson - This is so true. Beautiful post.

April 16, 2013 - 1:14 pm

missRBit - “I choose to be authentically me.”
Absolutely lovely post!

April 16, 2013 - 4:16 pm

Aroha @ Colours of Sunset - Thanks L (and M). This is so timely for me. I’ve lately been feeling like “This is it?!” Like not enough – not good enough, pretty enough, thin enough, happy enough, aaaagh it’s never enough?! but not only am I enough, I’m more than enough! Thanks for the reminder! xo Aroha

April 16, 2013 - 4:49 pm

Josefa @always Josefa - A beautiful post, I like the repetition of “choose” we sometimes forget that even in our darkest times, there is choice xx

April 16, 2013 - 9:21 pm

Rachel - Being brave enough to fully show up. That’s a concept I really like. To have the conviction to back yourself and your opinions. And to truly believe that you are enough. This was just what I need to read this week – very inspiring! Rach xx

April 16, 2013 - 11:29 pm

Vanessa @ babblingbandit.me - Beautiful post but no matter how many times I say that ‘I am enough’, I never believe it truly in my heart. I’ve been brainwashed all my life to believe otherwise. Sad but true. Perhaps more therapy is required. 😉

April 17, 2013 - 12:13 am

Twitchy - This is great Lyndal, 28 is an interesting age for self questioning and big events. Have you heard of/ read up on the Saturn return? I heard about it at 28. Fascinating stuff. #teamIBOT

April 17, 2013 - 12:56 am

Rina - You are expert on you..that is definitely true. You nailed dear beautifully. Thank you for this. Really love it 🙂

April 17, 2013 - 9:39 am

EssentiallyJess - I love that quote, about expecting to offend some people. I try so hard to not offend people, I probably play things too safe sometimes.
Love Lyndal’s way of looking at the world. Always challenging and refeshing

April 19, 2013 - 10:29 am

Rita - It takes a long time to realise that. It took me 30 years… And still, people will always say what you should or shouldn’t do and you have to learn to not listen to them, listen just to what you think is right.

A little bit of HAHA

I’ve been having so much trouble just getting my fingers to bash out on this keyboard lately. Ive just been staring and staring and just willing something magical to come right out the tips of them.

Something to make people think, something to make people feel. Because that what I like to do. I like to tell stories and emote feelings and all that jazz……

……However, I also LOVE to laugh, i love to be crazy hypo and I love to just lose myself in a fit of giggles. And sometimes, one just gets sick of all the heart wrenching posts… I know I do.

I doubt many of you would know that, just from reading this here blog o’ mine. I tend to err on the more serious side here and really pour my heart out more often than not.

I’ve decided its time for a laugh and time to share some of my fave LAUGHS from the interwebs.

So, I’m pretty much one of the biggest fans of TEXT FROM A DOG, holy heck guys. I think I could judge my friends from having them read it, if no one laughs, youre out of my gang hahaha.. i’m joking.. but seriously…  ASS HAT, COME ON! HILARIOUS! View full post »
